PropOS is the rental application workflow for South African property professionals. It keeps applicant details, documents, check statuses and review together, then records the owner’s decision.
Why we built it
DeAndre Harris started work on PropOS in 2025 after his own rental applications left him repeating forms, gathering documents, trying to understand fees and piecing together updates from separate messages.
He experienced the process as an applicant. Property professionals have to collect and review the whole application. PropOS is built around that work, while giving renters clearer steps and owners an application they can review.
What happens in PropOS
Review what arrived
The submitted application brings those details together with check statuses, affordability context and history. The property professional reviews what was supplied and prepares a recommendation.
Record the decision
The owner reviews the application and recommendation, then makes the decision. PropOS records the response in the application history.
Who uses PropOS
PropOS is designed first for South African letting agencies, independent property professionals and residential property managers. Renters can keep a reusable profile for participating applications. Owners receive the application and the property professional’s recommendation for review.
Where PropOS fits
Listing sites help people find properties. Screening services return checks. Property professionals still need to collect an application, review what came in and prepare it for an owner. PropOS keeps that work in one application.
Property professionals pay no upfront platform fee. Their fee becomes due after lease execution for the relevant application started through PropOS. Renters pay for access to participating applications.
